Advantages: Worked Initially, Now Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Was Grossly Over Priced, Failed Ahead of Time, Hard Work
These days you'd only look to pay around £70 for one of these vacuum cleaners because they're no longer the latest fashion. When we bought this though, we paid well over £200 for ours and that was only about four years ago now. When we bought it, the Mrs chose it because she did most of the housework. Now I work less, I do most of it and I'll be choosing a better vacuum cleaner than this piece of junk I tell you!
To start with I remember this being a decent vacuum. It's quite heavy to use but it did suck up all the dirt with ease for the first year or so. It wasn't long before I was frequently being called to untangle the brushes though and to have a look at why it wasn't doing so well.
Now we find that the vacuum cleaner isn't working at all when you push it along. If you use the nozzle, great - it works fine. But trying to use it as an upright just doesn't do anything besides move the dirt around. I know four years is a long time to have an appliance but I expected more from such an expensive model and reputable brand name.
I don't think we really had our money's worth out of this and to be honest I may just buy a little £40 number this time and replace it in a year or two's time as that will work out cheaper in the long run.
Summary: Not Recommended.

- 22/08/08 I have one of these and it still works brilliantly - sorry to hear you haven't been so lucky. The brushes do pick up an incredible amount of hair and do need to be cleaned (no mean feat I might add!) regularly, as does the filter. Maybe if you check these out you may find it works like it did when you first got it. Good luck! |

- 22/08/08 Am I the only one who goes "oh dear god" when they see that Nar2 has been at their review?
Thank you dear guide but no, I won't be updating my review. I thank you for generating my 1.5p with your not useful rate though, every penny counts. |

- 21/08/08 Well it could just need a decent clean out or a new belt unless you have one with a lifetime belt that has reached its life and needs an engineer to replace it.
More info would be good here, especially noise, filtration, use of smaller cleaning tools and ironically, maintenance.
I f you update your review please let me know. |
