I decided to upgrade my Dyson when my old DC02 (this is one of the original ones that sits on the stairs) gave up the goat! in other words - refused to pick up the dog hairs from the carpet. I opted for the DC04 Zorbster and haven't been disappointed. It certainly picks up the dirt, dust and dog hairs. When it arrived I went over my carpet first with my old vacuum - then tried my new one. I couldn't believe it - it was almost full. Had I really been living in so much dust and dirt for so long, you couldn't see a dog hair in site.

The DC04 Zorbster also uses a unique carpet cleaning method, you spread the Zorb powder over your carpet with a special attachment, then it is worked into your carpet, you leave it for about half and hour and then vacuum it back up - leaves your carpets looking like new, with a lovely fresh smell.

I did find it harder to do my stairs with this machine compared to the smaller compact machine, although the hose does reach up to the top, it did tug a little. But I felt this a small price to pay for the superior cleaning power.

I can hosestly say - my carpets have never been so clean.
