The best picker upper in town! (Dyson DC04)
Member Name: luce123
Advantages: Picks up cat hair and dirt easily - great for wooden floorboards Disadvantages: Very expensive
I bought my upright Dyson about 4 months ago, previous to that I had an old upright that had been a faithful friend to me for the past 3 years and was shall we say a little worse for wear. My brother had previously bought a pull along Dyson and when he told me how much it cost I was aghast (how could you warrant spending that much on a hoover I scorned!!) but as time ticked on I decided I really really wanted one, sooooo out came the credit card and the Dyson came home with me. I went for the purple, yellow and grey version the purple and green was a little too loud for my tastes!! It assembled fairly easily and off I went and wow the results were amazing! I have four cats (2 fluffy white ones) and the amount of cat hair and general dirt that it collected in the first go were amazing (and disgusting) I nearly filled the whole cannister. By then I had the Dyson bug and I have never looked back. The amazing thing about the Dyson is you can actually tell where you have previously hoovered whereas with my old upright I had no idea. These are well worth investing in - although pricey they get the job done. Also if you have wooden floors they are great as you just switch to manual brush off and you can hoover the floorboards unlike most convential uprights that scratch the surface. My only fault with this is that the tools do not fit properly onto the extendable hose which means that when you are hoovering the stairs (it's great as you do not have to lift the hoover all the way up the stairs but can leave it at the bottom and the hose extends all the way to the top) anyway the attachments sometimes fall off.
