The Dyson DC04 Absolute-ly the best vaccuum cleaner in the world (Dyson DC04)

Advantages: The suction is totally amazing!

Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

My old cylinder hoover wasn't working at all well in fact I had to go over the same piece of carpet 3 or 4 times before it would pick up the easiest of things also the hose was splitting in several places and I was so fed up with the carpets looking a state and they inturn made the rest of the place look untidy and horrible - it was all so depressing!

I had heard so many good things about Dysons, so when I joined Ciao and Dooyoo I decided to read what the members here thought about them, I had narrowed it down to two types and just couldn't make up my mind which to buy. Then there was the price of course but as the advert says if you want something like a dyson then its going to have to be a.... dyson!

First there was the cylinder type model DC05, as I had never had an upright I was nearly wnrt for the DC05 but the salesman in our local electrical shop asked me what type of flooring we had, as we had all carpets except the Kitchen, he told me that the upright DC04 would infact be better. The one I wanted was the DC04 Absolute (hence the title)

My husband was pretty shocked at having to spend so much on a vacuum cleaner that he had to have a stiff drink that evening to recover! It cost us £229 which was quite good as it should have cost around £259 but the salesman cut the price as I'd seen it on the internet for £199, but as my husband wanted to buy it locally, we all agreed on this price.

Then 4 days later, my husband brought my wonderful Dyson home and there it was all purple and lime and looking gorgeous, well as gorgeous as a vaccuum cleaner can anyway! The poor old Hoover was taken down the dump.

Well this was about 3 weeks ago and ever since then I have loved using my Dyson, well when my husband isn't trying it out, he is absolutely fassinated with the way it works!

It picks up so well and even tries to lift the kitchen flooring the suction is that powerful I wouldn't swap it for anythi
ng- well maybe a maid/cleaner to do all my housework for me!!

The Dyson DC04 Absolute comes with three onboard tools it also comes with a little book entitled "the history of Dyson" which told me things I did not know and even had a bit about the new Washing Machine that they have recently launched, this sounds brilliant and I wish I could persuade my husband to buy me one - but I don't think I will have much success after spending over £200 on the DC04, I will have to work on him. This brilliant vacuum cleaner and is designed so well that, try as I might, I cannot think of any faults.

When we bought the DC04, it totally changed my life, the carpets are transformed and look like new again and after the initial shock of what was actually sucked up into the see-through canister and in my carpets, the first time we used it it was nearly full up. I think this is the most useful and rewarding vacuum cleaner that I have ever seen or used, and I would thoroughly reccommend it to anyone who wants a decent Vaccuum cleaner but you have to be willing to spend a bit extra but this is definately the make to go for!

They have just released the new DC07 which I was advised to wait for but I didn't want to wait. I was told that the DC07 is more powerful so I am glad that I got the DC04 as any more power and I wouldn't be able to use it- I mean it sticks to the carpets as it is! I think the DC04 is the most awesome vacuum cleaner invented and I would like to thank everyone whose opinions I read on this and the DC02 on Ciao and Dooyoo and of course if I could I would love to personally thank the inventor of the dyson.

I would recommend this vacuum cleaner to everyone, go on what are you waiting for- try it!
