Brilliant, quick and easy cleaning! (Dyson DC04)

I've used many different brands of vacuum but personally I think this is the best I have ever used. Before I decided on the DCO4 with brush control, I looked at the Dyson website to see that this would be the best choice for me and the features the cleaner had would suit my needs. I can't believe the amount of negative comments about this product, it made me a little wary about buying one to be honest. For example:

"Filters are expensive." - Why would you be buying a new filter when they are "Life-Time" filters? You just need to wash them every six months. If you don't want to wash the filters in your cleaner then don't buy a Dyson. "Life-Time" filters was one of the main reasons I bought a Dyson. You do have to replace one of the filters every 12 months at a cost of approx. £12.00 which is equal to £1 per month. But thats it!

"Good for the first use then never seemed to pick up." - On the first use like most people I was surprised how much dust was in the carpets and on the floors. However, with repeated use I expect this to reduce over time. It just shows the Dyson is doing its job.

If in doubt then go to your local department store and just try one out! It takes me far less time to clean the house now I have the Dyson. All the tools are there and cleaning the stairs is simple and quick. Even the packaging is 100% recyclable cardboard rather then card with polystyrene. My only negative comment is the manual, it's adequate but some more text would have been appreciated.
