I have used this cleaner every day for 2 years

I have found the build quality to be poor

The insert to the cylinder was lost while emptying and a replacement cost £ 20.00

After about 9 months the electric motor started so whine

The flexible hose for the wand has split on a number of occasions Replacement cost £20.00

The electric cord to the rear becomes brittle and breaks not any easy repair

All in all the dyson has been ok but the build quality needs to be addressed

	- 22/06/04 You perhaps should have tried a DC07, which is alot better. the build quality is of a reasonable standard, i would say. if not, henrys are very reliable, and last for ages

	- 18/06/04 I'm sorry to hear about your problems, but surprised too, I've had a DC01 for years and never had a single problem with it (apart from I've lost most of the tools, but I can hardly blame Dyson for that!)
