Advantages: picks up dirt from 1960

Disadvantages: can suck your eyballs out from the next room

Being a typical male when it comes to cleaning duties, I get to hear my beloved's dulcet tones screeching "why don't you ever polish, vacuum under objects". My reply, a timid whine generaly goes "Does the tv, settee computer, etc ever move, then why do I need to clean under them."

When I was Told we were getting a Dyson, my initial response was "what a lot of money for a plastic pipe and a motor to suck up dirt". I believed that a vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner, not much to seperate the many on sale out there.

My what a surprise I got when we got home and unpacked this purple dream machine. It has enough power to suck out your eyeball at forty paces, is well designed (a piece of art), the tools are easily accessable, and the hose for stairs is a stroke of design genius. The amount of dirt this thing will pick up from your carpets will make you feel in need of a shower, and you can see it all through the clear container, and It all comes apart for easy cleaning of the filters, etc. Accept no substitutes, Dyson copies are not as good, honestly!

Although my attempts at cleaning are still a cause of debate in our house, at least what I do clean is without reproach.
