I bought the Dyson DC04 vacuum cleaner about four years ago, after hearing so many good reviews of their products. On the whole, it has been a really good hoover, and the suction is excellent, picking up all sorts of things from the floor. As I have a toddler, there is always something that needs hoovering up, so a good cleaner is vital. ...  Read the complete review

Ok, so I'm the only one to not be blown (or sucked) away by this? Operating on a square carpet, fantastic, can't be faulted, does what it says on the tin.....need it to do that bit more? Edges, corners, stairs....you know, the day to day stuff? Then it becomes time consuming, clunky and awkward...you have to literally dismantle the thing ...  Read the complete review

This is going to be a bit of a retrospective review - a progress report if you will. The Dyson range has been going now since 1993 and the story of its conception has been well discussed. We are now, I think, on the 7th version of the Dyson upright vacuum cleaner but do they live up to the hype? The focus of the range was to ...  Read the complete review

I beg to differ some of the reviews on the Dyson DC04. I have been so impressed with the performance of the product I am in search of another one in case my present one, of some 11 years does break down. My sister and my son have more up to date models of the dyson, not as study a quality of the 04 standard. Iv looked after around 6 ...  Read the complete review

This review is about my own vacuum, not one that I have used at someones house when I went to clean. I have had this hoover for 8 years and have been very pleased with it indeed, the first day that it came I went crazy hoovering the whole house and getting the pleasure of seeing the dirt filling the container. Well I guess the time had to come when a Dyson came back into my life! Whilst everyone else has been revelling it up over Christmas I've been asked back to my old job as a cleaner to get the houses up sparkling and good for the New Year. At the time of returning I was told that I was not allowed to bring my own machine with me since my ...  Read the complete review

I bought my Dyson DC04 two years ago on the recommendation of absolutely everyone I know who's bought a Dyson cleaner. I liked the idea of not having to change bags as my previous vacuum cleaner was 25 years old and I had great difficulty buying bags that fitted. Unfortunately, I bought it over the internet so had no idea ...  Read the complete review

I have been replacing a lot of my old household items and one of the first to go was my old hoover. I had always wanted a dyson and thought to myself now was the time to get one so I got one a few weeks ago. When it came in its box there were a couple of parts that had to be slotted into place like the attachments and the long ...  Read the complete review

I decided it was time for a new sucker - as you do. The old vacuum cleaner made noise and dust, but NOT a clean house. Having browsed for a while (about 3 months - dont wanna rush these things) I decoided on a Dyson DC04i. There were two reason for doing so: 1 It was the cheapest of the Dysons at £139 2 It has a ...  Read the complete review

Normally I'd have been excited about seeing my boyfriend carrying a big box through the door, but this wasn't a present it was a necessity. Our battered Dyson DC01 had finally given up the ghost and was looking very sad. The latest problem was the loss of one of it's wheels - careless driving on my part! Some three and a half years ago we purchased a Dyson DC04, thinking we would have a well designed and reliable machine. Whilst acknowledging it cleans carpets well, we have found that the durability of its parts to be extremely poor and costly to replace. In the relatively short time we have had this cleaner, no fewer than ten parts ...  Read the complete review

I've used many different brands of vacuum but personally I think this is the best I have ever used. Before I decided on the DCO4 with brush control, I looked at the Dyson website to see that this would be the best choice for me and the features the cleaner had would suit my needs. I can't believe the amount of negative comments ...  Read the complete review

OK, let's start with the main selling point of the Dyson - it's bagless. Not only does this mean you won't need to go out and buy bags, it also reduces clogging and allows for more space for the dirt. And you can actually *see* what's been hoovered up, which might not appeal to everyone! Emptying the unit was quite easy ...  Read the complete review

When our old faithful Vacuum cleaner packed up and after several attempts to mend it failed we decided to go and get a dyson as we had heard so much about this amazing machine that made the flattest of carpets look like new again. We looked at the various types of dysons and went for the cheapest upright that was just over £200. ...  Read the complete review

When I bought my Dyson DC04 just over 2 years ago, I was convinced that the expense was justified. After all, I would be getting a high quality, durable machine. My 15 year-old Hoover junior was relegated to the shed and my new Super Sucker took up residence. Less than a year later, the catch on the wand broke. It was ...  Read the complete review

You know that question people sometimes ask, ‘If your house were on fire which items would you save first?’ well after the humans and animals it would have to be my Dyson Hoover. It would be wasting time to list all the merits of the Dyson. Many are on record doing just that. But I'm on my second and still singing their praises. I don't have any allergies but I do value a dust free environment when I am doing my housework. Dyson certainly lives up to their promises in that direction.
