After our last hoover gave up on us.We decided as we now have dogs and the so called excellence of dyson with dog hairs. To acquire one last autumn, and yes it worked brillantly at first! But we soon began to have difficulties with it.It was just continually clogging up and picking nothing up.Then just 4 months after buying the thing it packed up ... I'm not going to go into all the technical details about this vacuum, because it's all been said before. I just want to tell you about my experience of using the DC04, and what I really think about it. Our house has to be the ultimate test for any vacuum cleaner. We've got three longhaired German Shepherds, who seem to leave ... Read the complete review

When people talked to me about this Dyson, I have to confess that I was rather sceptical. Let’s be honest, it’s a carpet cleaner and that’s it. Boy was I wrong. It may only be a carpet cleaner, but it’s the best one I’ve ever used. My carpet cleaner packed up recently, so I was put in the position of having to ... Read the complete review

With the hoovering that is!!!! We have had our DC04 for nearly 2 years now. I insisted on one when we moved to a bigger house, with more carpet area, as we had a dog (since died), a 4 year old, and a very old hoover that drops more than it ever picked up!! We choose the DC-04. I think this was the latest model at the time. True ... Read the complete review

I don't know how I got into carpet cleaners. Heck, I don't know how I got into *carpets* let alone carpet cleaners. In this house, the carpet is my responsibility. I measure up for it, buy it, supervise the fitters, hoover it, shampoo it occasionally, and even clean the edges from time to time with an attachment. So every Saturday ... Read the complete review

Well, after reading extensively of the virtues of the Dyson DC04 on this very site, I decided I had suffered long enough with my ancient Hoover and it was time to take the plunge (especially since my dog with a very thick black coat is just on the edge of malting time..need I say more!) I spent a couple of weeks dithering over where I was ... Read the complete review

Incredible *state-of-the-art* cleaner that for me is definitely number one, putting 'Henry' and all my other past favourites most definitely in the shade, in terms of cleaning ability, overall perfirmance and its filtering system that actually aids asthma. This dynamic tool was recommneded to me by a close friend who boasted that ... Read the complete review

Now, ask anyone who knows me, and you will learn that I am not the housework type. When it comes to hoovering - well, I'd just rather not. When I was working full time, a quick whiz around the bits you could see, once a week, was enough for me, with maybe a little extra picking up of the larger bits of fluff (by hand) in between. When ... Read the complete review

We purchased the Dyson DC01 many years ago but were very dissapointed with the stair wand, so earlier this year we upgraded to the DC04, I can not fault the cleaner, the stair wand has so much more suction compared to the old DC01. With the DC04 came a free mini turbo head, I find this turbo head completely useless, when you try to vacuum the ... Read the complete review

A few months ago, my old vacuum cleaner gave up on me so I decided to go for a Dyson. A few reasons made me go for the Dyson but the main one is that is bagless and another one is that a few of my friends swear by it. As luck would have it Costco were selling the Dyson DC04 (the Pink and Purple one AKA the Anti-Meningitis one) for £148, ... Read the complete review

Mr Dyson has not, in my opinion, done himself any favours with the DC04. You cannot buy belts for it without buying the complete clutch unit (for about £16). Don`t be misled, rubber belts DO stretch (this does not include the lime and green model). As a repairing dealer you would be better spending your hard-earned cash on another make. Do ... We purchased a DC04 (the Yellow and Grey one) in Jan 2001 and have not regretted it one bit. The Dyson DC04 is a well designed upright vacuum cleaner that does not require those horrible bags. The best feature of this machine is its powerful suction. This comes from a 1200 watt motor. The amount of dust and dirt picked up is amazing, thus ... Read the complete review

My old cylinder hoover wasn't working at all well in fact I had to go over the same piece of carpet 3 or 4 times before it would pick up the easiest of things also the hose was splitting in several places and I was so fed up with the carpets looking a state and they inturn made the rest of the place look untidy and horrible - it was all so ... Before I start, can I point out how embarrassing it is having to write this! I am so ashamed of the dirt so please, don't think any less of me! I'll start at the very beginning because as Julie Andrews told us all, it's a very good place to start! In this case the beginning would be a round 1993, which was not only the time ... And why do I love him, I hear you ask. Well, this fantastic fellow knocked on my door 2 days ago, and handed me this great big parcel. Oooh! What was in the parcel, I hear you ask. Well, I won`t tease you any longer, inside the parcel was my lovely green and grey new Dyson. It`s always the same isn`t it? You get a new toy, and you`ve ... Read the complete review

Having worked in an electrical shop for some time, and having discussed many customers needs, I always seem to end up recommending the Dyson DC04. As the natural progression from the best-selling DC01, it still does everything that has given Dyson it's good name. It's bagless, which is half the selling point in itself, and though it ... I have just bought my self a Dyson vacuum cleaner (standing up one) in the colour silver/yellow. The reason I bought this vacuum is because my other vacuum finally died. It had been a good vacuum cleaner it had last me over six years so I got my moneys worth. But it hadn’t been picking up dirt that good lately, I had to keep ... Read the complete review
