Advantages: never loses suction

Disadvantages: quite bulky to store

I purchased the Dyson DC05 about two and a half years ago after buying endless amounts of cheap hoovers, just for them to break after a few months or not work properly in the first place. I bought this from my catalogue as i couldnt afford to go out and buy one out right. It was advertised as being £179.99 but i had an code for money off and ended up paying £120.
The hoover is grey and yellow in colour and has a see through bin which holds all the dust that is sucked up the hose. The advantages to having a clear bin are, you are able to see when your hoover needs emptying, it is very easy to empty as you can see that everything has been tipped into the bin, if you pick up something you shouldnt have you will be able to see it and pick it out and the last is that you can actually see how well your hoover is working and picking up. The hoover is quite light and has a handle that is easy to hold onto when carrying.
THis hoover is fitted with dual cyclone. Apparently James Dyson took 15 years and 5127 prototypes to develop his hoovers so that they never lose suction. The full range of Dyson hoovers have a lifetime filtration which means that you never need to buy filters.
It is easy to manoeuvre the hoover round when you are cleaning, but the extra tools are stored on the hose so as you are moving around they do tend to knock into things as you are going along. The floor brush fits easily underneath chairs, units and cupboards as long as there is enough of a gap otherwise you have to pull eveything out to clean under them. To get into the corners you need to take the brush off as i find leaving it on doesnt get right into the corner to pick up any dust. Cleaning up and down the stairs is very easy as the hoover sits comfortably on the stairs.
The only problem i have with the hoover is that it is quite bulky and storing it could be a problem if you havent got the space. I am quite lucky as i have a big cupboard especially for my cleaning products. Dyson have a service where they take your hoover and give it a bit of an MOT. Ive not used it personally but my mum have, it cost her £35 and she got her hoover back good as new, the only problem is that you will be left without a hoover until you get yours back.
There are more up to date versions but mine have never let me down and is an excellent product.

Summary: everybody should invest in a Dyson
