Excellent carpet cleaning (Dyson DC07)

Advantages: Very powerful suction, deep cleaning with rotating brush

Disadvantages: Bit heavy weight on carpet for regular cleaning

Before buying DC07, I always used the cheap standard models not costing more than £40. But then I was renting a house, so no need to keep it that clean. isn't it ? When I purchased a house and moved there with my old vaccume cleaner, it was business as usual. But once my old vacuume broke down and I had to borrow my friend's DC07, We were impressed with its performance. Only then I knew that carpet can be THAT clean. So I bought one from amazon.co.uk for £139, when it was around £190 on normal retail stores. The DC07 itself is bit heavy and pain for storage, it is worth the pain. The suction is very powerful, and rotating brush with deep clean the carpet and you can notice the difference.
With this upright cleaner, it is fun to vaccume, as you don't have to push the brush for better cleaning.
The only down side is that I noticed my carpet is going bald after regular vaccume cleaning for a year, due to heavy-weight brush action. So we avoid using it often and use normal brush to clean the carpet in between.

Some addition due to Public Demand :

- The machine is chuncky
- Noise is quite high compared to telescopic vaccume cleaners
- Filteration is quite good
- Emtying the rubbish is very easy. Just remove the container, place it in the bin and with click of the button, all your rubbish is released from the bottom of the container. Make sure that you cover the dustbin while emptying, as lot of very fine dust is released from the container, which might cause asthama etc.
- I rarely use small tools so can't comment on it
