Advantages: Long cable and has loads of gizmos

Disadvantages: I now like hoovering

----<Dyson DC07>----

If all household appliances were this gadgety I think 80% of house work would be done by men, or is that wishful thinking?.
I bought one of these for my "Partner" and don't think she's ever had the chance to use it yet.

Okay I've snapped a few "easily" replaceable belts trying to hoover up things that even the bin men won't lift.
It cost me 117 pounds from Makro, making it not only a very good buy, but a very Cheap one too.

It has no bag and so never loses any suction, I once did a test with it with my mates carpet, we lived next door, and he, well his
Missus, used your "run of the mill" vacuum cleaner.

----<A New Lease of Life>----

I went in and gazed over the place and betted him a mighty 5 quid, it would just about suck the carpet up, "personally I think this was a ploy for me to do his chore", I began hoovering his carpet and with every stroke, the lifeless beast sprung to life, like flowers shown blossoming on a fast frame camera.
He began reaching to his wallet and conceding my point that not only was it a good cleaner, but "Easy" to work it had also put some fun into the daily ritual.

----<Parts>----

A fiver in the hip, I am looking to do another couple of hundred carpets and retire to a bungalow in Thailand.
Dyson got this thing bang on, which makes me think that; if it was designed by a man, then it's good enough to be used by one, the hose is extremely long and hard wearing as is the cable, the "pole" section of the upright can be either taking out and turned upside down for an easier grip on the appliance for doing the stairs, corners of ceilings, or taken off altogether to get into those pokey wee holes that think they are beyond the reach of the Dyson.

----<Power>----

Whatever the reasoning behind making this vacuum cleaner go like a force 5 hurricane is beyond me, I enjoy watching the day old dust whizzing about like a caravan park in Kansas during Tornado season, it is surprising how much dust does collect over the period of one day.

----<Design>----

The vacuum weighs in at 8.7kg, with a 1400 watt motor capable of 260 AirWatts (from Dyson Website)
Cable length is 8.2 metres or "Quite long" in Feet. And has a maximum reach of 13.6 metres, motor wattage is the way the vacuum is calculated to work out how much electricity is used.

It is a loud machine, and living next to someone on constant nightshift, is not going to make you the most popular neighbour, more so if you live on levels and their bedroom is beneath your livingroom.
As for hoovering the likes of linoleum and wooden flooring, the vacuum used in the upright position, is simply too strong, get your length out for this and any of the attachments for this job, seriously, it can lift the linoleum in my kitchen straight up, impressive as it is, it will not lift any more than what is "directly" beneath it.

----<Environmentally Friendly>----

The Dyson also has a 5 yr guarantee, all parts are made from solid hard wearing plastic making it very easy to clean and put back together, there are also various filtration systems on it, the entire waste dept. cylinder (3.5 ltr), can be removed with the push of a button, and again, by pulling another, a swing door opens emptying the contents out without the hassle of getting dust all over your clean living quarters. One huge bonus, is you won't have to shop for vacuum bags, going into "Curry's" and trying to remember if the bag serial number was HV001A or 1B....

----<DC or not DC>----

If you find yourself in need of a new cleaner, this is the one, reasonably priced and "with" frills, the Dyson may convert some guys into house husbands, I never would've bought the thing if I knew I'd be the one taking the reigns on it.

Welcome to Dooyoo. A good start here but would do well with more info on the filtration, general using on carpets and hard flooring, weight and noise. Im not a fan of selective models but I know they are very good machines in terms of sucking the dirt out. Just a shame the plastic sealage is poor. I recall sucking up a wasp with my Dyson and it lived for a week in the dirt, crawling over the mounds before I sprayed fly killer into the machine!!

If you update your review please let me know.
