I recently traded up from the DC01 (see previous opinion) to the DC07 and I can't believe they're made by the same company.

The suction with the 07 is phenomenal, it actually lifts the lino off the kitchen floor. The day before I bought it, I'd hoovered round with the 01 (I have small kids so have to hoover every day!) and then like a kiddie in a sweet shop as soon as I got the 07 home, opened it up and ran round the carpets with it. I was astounded at the dust it collected!

The improvements from the 01 are fantastic, everything that drove me potty before has been fixed. The hose no longer slips off the metal pipe as it has a catch to release it; the tools "click" into place, so don't fall off randomly on your way round the house; the filter is washable and only needs doing every six months; the carpet brushes underneath switch off automatically when you're using the stair-hose and the best improvement is to the dust emptying: instead of having to tip the contents of the bin out, all you have to do is hold it over the dustbin, press a button and the bottom drops open...easy!

All in all, worth the money for a dust-free house.
