Oh you know I am back! I not been on Dooyoo for ages...and...ages...and...okay you get the drift. And what is even more amazing is I am writing my first opinion for ages on a Hoover! What is this world coming to. Why is that so amazing - well it's a guy thing isn't it? I mean c'mon hoovering is a household chore and correct me if I am wrong but along with "I DO" comes "I DON'T Iron, Clean, Wash, Hoover, Put Trash Out, in fact any Household chore" - that's the way it is. That was until Dyson destroyed my little world - yes I am king of the hoovering people - in fact my wife has been told she will be executed at dawn should she touch MY hoover. Okay my wife has been harping on about a new hoover for ages - and she wanted the Dyson because it looked cool. Now not being funny but there is cool and then there is over-priced cool. We almost bought one of these things 5 months ago but opted for some cheap £30 dirt blowing dust creating machine. It was always humourous using the thing - but for some reason on bag emptying time your dirt ended up back where it started so you had a vicious circle going on. Then came the DC07 - let the sales pitch begin: Highest constant suction and a brushbar make DCO7 silver/yellow ideal for homes fitted mainly with carpets. It has lifetime filters, remote trigger bin emptying and high velocity airflow tools. Top sales pitch huh? This thing sucks like a...err...let's not go there. Not only does it suck like a goddess (come on I am male) but it looks like a fashion accessory. Okay it is basically an upright hoover with a few twists. Firstly you get Dysons Root8 Cyclone technology which essentially 'gives constant suction, but has even higher suction power, picking up even more dust'. It does too - switch this baby on and you will have trouble getting it off the carpet - dirt does not have a look in. 8 cylinders spinning
creating a vacuum to be proud of. Essentially that is the core feature, Dyson's ground breaking design means hoovering becomes a breeze - added to that is the fact you have no need for hoover bags. With a clear bin collecting your dirt a few button clicks and its released and emptied efficiently into the rubbish bin. I am sure most poeple live in at least a two story house - and an upright would really well be useless - not this one it has a myriad of extra features. Again a click of the button and the wand is released (essentially the main handle). Add your attachments to this wand and the tube which would reach floor 12 in a 12 (strangely enough) story flat. But once again 100% suction meaning it becomes 100% easier to do each and every step. Along with all the featues it is a breeze to maintain and clean in fact it does 90% of the work for you. This truly is a wonderful peice of kit and yes I am talking about an HOOVER! The standard DC07 running at £229.99 SSP is really the basic everyday home use hoover essentially for carpets only. As you would expext Dyson have covered every requirement so there is a wider range of DC07s for hard floors, higher filtration levels and even pet hair. Seriously although the price tag is quite off-putting if your the one running around your home with a hoover from the 60s then you will not regret buying one of these. In fact the SSP is a little higher then in most high street stores - we picked ours up for £160. And now I am an elite hoover operator - pays very bad - but it is very enjoyable doing it - cool features, cool end result, cool hoover :)
