I had wanted a Dyson vacuum for a while, but simply couldn't justify the initial outlay for one. Then one day while doing the weekly shop in Tesco I saw the Dyson DC07 Allergy on offer for £170 (down from £270 at the time - it was a few years ago). Seeing as I had wanted a Dyson for ages I decided this was too good an opportunity to miss and added ... Read the complete review

I have had my DC07 allergy for over a year now and in this house of two hairy dogs and four toddler grandchildren it earns it's keep. I bought mine from Currys, it was just over £200.00 but with the advent of the next generation Dysons the price has dropped and now I believe you can get this one for about £189.00. Once I had ... Having owned a DCO7 for 2 years and 9 months I have mixed feelings about these machines. Yes they are very good at sucking up the dirt, and the satisfaction of seeing it all in the transparent dust collector is immense. Yes they are very cleverly designed and the way the hose extends is incredible, although not particularly convenient. But, in ... Read the complete review

I have had my dyson for about six months and I think it is wicked compared to a kirby I had before.Firstly it doesn't start to smell as it is bagless and that helps alot when you have got pets and it picks pet hair up very easily. It is easy to use on the stairs which we all know is hard work.I think the dyson is light too.It really is worth ... Last summer after having tried in vain to remove the fluff from our new-ish living room carpet with our trusty Dyson DC02, now nearing retirement age, we decided we needed something with a bit more power and a rotating brush bar. We had tried an air-powered turbo brush attachment on the DC02, but it constantly clogged up and stopped rotating. So, ... Read the complete review

Please suck... - Advantages: good suction when working, you feel your home is clean after because you can see how much dirt it has picked up., Dyson hotline very useful. - Disadvantages: filter needs cleaning quite a lot, things can get trapped in the 'u-bend'

Advantages have been well documented but lets talk about some of the negatives, after only 3 months of use. 1. The weight - even for a fit, strong individual you can soon get a tired arm! 2. Because of the weight, if you use the flexible hose to the limit, the main body will come hurtling after you! 3. As with previous models, the ... Read the complete review

The Danger of becoming to clean. We recently got some money from presents and decided to spend it on the home and us and one of the things we have heard lots about is Dyson, and most of us have heard the good articles. I was quite sceptical about how a Hoover could be much different to other cheaper ones, but so many people have ... Read the complete review

We purchased a Dyson DC07 Animal in mid September, and within 10 minutes of using it, the motor had burnt out. I was not using it harshly, I vacuumed the dining room carpet, which I had vacuumed with our previous vacuum, just to prove how much muck the Dyson gets up. I then did the stairs (standard short pile carpet), and after 5 minutes, it gave ... Read the complete review

When one of our dogs decides to have a good scratch the entire house reverberates. At 42kg Rosie packs a good scratch. Her little (40kg) sister, Kia, hasn't quite got the power to rattle the plates three doors away, but she's still impressive. Both dogs are allergic to house dust mite. It's easy to think of house dust as ... Read the complete review

I bought my Dyson about 2 months ago now after our little £30 goblin blew up and melted! We had moved into our first house and had only had the goblin for 3 months so my partner suggested going for a dyson and told me I could have one if thats what I really wanted. Well was it what I really wanted? I thought they were over priced and you ... Read the complete review

I had never wanted a Dyson! I considered them to be over-priced and thought that they couldn't possibly be as good as everyone claimed. A couple of weeks ago we had a new living room carpet delivered and were so pleased with it that we decided we needed a new vacuum cleaner. With not so much of a bang as a whimper, my old Hoover Vortex shuffled off it's mortal coil (for the second time). So unimpressed had I been with it's performance over the last 2.5 years that I decided to replace it completely rather than spend another £75 on having another new motor fitted. INTRODUCTION The Dyson DC07 is the latest in the now famous line of bagless vacuum cleaners from Dyson. The suction power is provided in the form of a mini cyclone and deposits the dirt and dust into a clear plastic chamber. The theory is that the suction power remains constant during use, unlike a conventional vacuum where the amount of ... Read the complete review

I recently traded up from the DC01 (see previous opinion) to the DC07 and I can't believe they're made by the same company. The suction with the 07 is phenomenal, it actually lifts the lino off the kitchen floor. The day before I bought it, I'd hoovered round with the 01 (I have small kids so have to hoover every day!) and ... Read the complete review
