Advantages: Makes vacuuming more interesting and effective, Can be used on hard and soft surfaces, Multiple tools including upto13.5m extending hose

Disadvantages: Specification changes with colour of vacuum so could be garish, Not suitable for lifting up and downstairs too much (would recommend DC08)

Has anyone else found it to be scary the first time you use a dyson and see all that dirt coming out of the carpet and into the clear container. Alright then ... maybe I'm just really dirty but I find some sort of reassurance that when I vacuum that something is happening. The only time that I was worried was when it didn't seem to be working that well and was making a funny noise, so I admitted defeat and called BF in to sort it out. Apparently dysons don't like sucking up clothes tags and can get matted with all the long hair I molt.... but then again most vacuums don't like long hari either, but the dyson was easy to take to pieces.

The reason I like my dyson so much is that it's fun (in a sad way most of my friends say) but all those attachments, all the settings and an extendable hose up to 13.5m long which is already attached, great for doing the stairs. I do admit I don't have a playstation or a snazzy phone but at least a dyson makes household chores that little more interesting and more effective wih it's root8TM cyclone technology and there are tools than you can buy in addition to the ones that come with it including dyson own version of carpet talc to get rid of micro bugs.

But even better is that it's bagless so no ongoing costs, easy to maintain and clear to see when needs emptying. This may seem an odd thing to describe as a feature but I do know of one girl who vacuumed frequently and for 2 years never emptied the bag and wondered why it wasn't picking up the dirt. Surpising it didn't give up the ghost and catch fire or burn out, but when taken to pieces was founf to be solid.... I think the bag needed cutting out. So basically useful for forgetful me.

I've never been keen on housework but at least vaccuming now is more effective and quicker than I have experienced before.

I love my Dyson too - is very satisfying seeing all that dust in the container! :)
