Dyson vacuum cleaners, they have become somewhat of a status symbol. Its the type of vacuumed you don't mind having out of the press for people to see because, lets be honest, they are kind of cool. The DC08 represents the latest in root cyclone technology. 12 mini cyclones that supposedly produce 45% more suction power than their standard dual cyclone. Other improvements include the contact head, the new adjustable floor tool that maintains constant contact with the surface regardless of what direction you are going, the removable tool holder, this is a big improvement on the one that was just stuck on the hose on the DC05, and the new pressure release trigger that reduces the suction power at the pull of a finger. All these improvements are welcome and if you look at the unit itself you will notice that everything green actually has a function. genius. As with previous models there are no consumables to buy, obviously the bag-less vacuumed means no bags to buy and the washable filter needs only a twice yearly cleaning. there is also an inconspicuous pre-motor H.E.P.A. filter that there's no need to touch for the life of the vacuume. Overall the unit is great, its only downfall is that I find the accessories to be a bit flimsy BUT the vacuume comes with a 2 year in home service so peace of mind comes as standard.
As good as it gets! - Advantages: Extremely powerful, No bags & long pwr cord, Genuinely clever design - Disadvantages: Expensive, The cylinder can be dusty to empty, Seeing the dirt picked up shows how dirty our place was!
