Advantages: Picks Up Well
Disadvantages: Price
Normally I am not a fan of dyson at all. My experiences with the uprights have been awful. The belts are impossible to change, the suction is not very good and they are extremely expensive for what you get.
A friend of the family bought this Dyson but found it difficult to use and wanted to change to an upright and asked if we wanted it. Being not a fan of dysons I said i would try it out to see what it was like. To my delight it is a very good dyson and picks up extremely well.
It is very easy to clean and requires little maintenance. No filters have to be purchased as the one built in can be washed, which i have done many times, and it keeps the dyson working to its full capacity.
The specifications are:
Dimensions 365 x 290 x 400mm (HxWxD)
Weight 8.05kg
Suction power 280 airwatts
Bin capacity 2 litres
Cord length 6.5m
To be perfectly honest i would not buy one of these at full price as a think the VAX are much better value for money and work no worse than Dysons. If you are going to by one of these look at the VAX range also. If you can get one cheap or reconditioned then it is a good buy.
Summary: Nice but not nice enough for the price

- 13/10/07 A bit more detail would have been good here commenting on what the Dyson features and how you have found using these features. One thing about Dyson however is that the bin will never get clogged due to their 100% suction. Sadly for Vax (discounting their new Zero range) it means that this Dyson is better particularly if it has lifetime filters. Try your Vax first and then use your Dyson to see what gets picked up. More details such as using the hose, downsides, noise, emptying it and using the smaller tools will provide a greater review for future consumers. If you update your review let me know. Nar2
