Bought the Dyson dc14 'All Floors' yesterday. We were in the middle of shampooing the carpets and decided to use our new Vac on our large dinning room, prior to shampooing... having vac'd it the previous day with our old 'Henry'. We almost filled the dust bag. This is the measure of the suction of this powerful machine. Emptying the bag is a 2 minute operation and the machine is easy to service. The unit appears well made, though the consumer mag 'Which' lists Dyson's Vacs' as being of poor reliability. With a 5 year guarantee as standard, we thought the cleaner worth the risk and 'Which' place this model at the top of the performance ... Read the complete review

When our old Bosch vacuum cleaner finally packed up a few weeks ago, we knew that our next one was going to be a Dyson. When we decided to buy the Bosch Extraxx 17 some six years ago, we were also considering a Dyson but eventually chose German over British engineering, but from time to time we were wondering whether we should have bought a Dyson instead. Not that we weren't satisfied with the Bosch, I hasten to add. It was a fairly good machine, however, we would have expected more than six years of service from something of its calibre. When it first broke down a few months ago, we even bought a replacement part for it, but when it broke down again with another ... Read the complete review

I bought my Dyson almost 3 years ago, I have to admit when it came to purchasing it I didn't even look at any other brand of vacuum cleaner, my parents had one of the first generation Dysons for seven years, so I felt that they were pretty much the best thing out there. I paid around £190 for it in John Lewis, I probably would have thought twice about the price but we were given a lot of John Lewis vouchers as wedding presents so I put these towards the cost At first I wasn't really keen on the apperance of this particular model of Dyson, as with most of their models, it is mostly grey but some bits of it are white and some of the handels and knobs ... I got married at the beginning of June and like many couples my wife and I made a wedding gift list with a few things we'd like to have for around the home. One of the things we put on the list was a Dyson vacuum cleaner as our current vac was getting a bit old and past it. My generous boss has been saying for weeks that he'll get it for us and yesterday afternoon (much to my amazement), it finally arrived! Now, I don't normally drone on about packaging and how products look, but the DC14 truly is a thing of beauty! Delivered in a shiny black box, the cardboard somehow oozes class... quite how cardboard oozes class, I'm not sure... but it ... Read the complete review

I moved house last month and needed a new vacuum beacuse our last one was about 10 years old and had the suction quality of a goldfish with a straw... Looking for something completely different (and effective), we did lots of reasearch (or as much research as it's possible to do into vacuum cleaners without dying of boredom) and decided on the Dyson DC14 All Floors. Spurred on by the favourable reports of Dyson-owning friends and a desire to get something much slicker than the old hoover that used to clutter up our last place, we opted for the silver and orange Dyson DC014. It's got loads of features, including: telescope reach and ... Read the complete review
