worth the buy - an asthmatic friend of mine uses this (Dyson DC14 Allergy)

Advantages: everything so far...

one of my husband's friend is an asthmatic patient. they have had this constant arguement in their household while vacuuming and he used to go out grocery shopping while she used to vacuum the house. then, a while later; while browsing the net, our friends recommended using this anti-allergy dyson cleaner. they were initially reluctant to purchase this model as it was a tad bit too expensive. but as his wife fell pregnant, she could not vacuum and they decided to shell their money out for this monster.

it is very heavy and comes with all the normal attachments you would find with other cleaners. it cleans very effectively. generally you just need to sweep once (if you are regularly clean your carpet) and all the dust is swooshed in. emptying the canister is simple like other dyson cleaners. it has a long attachment to clean stairs. suction does not decrease unless and until the canister is full.

i expected it to have more fancy technology when it mentions anti-allergy as that is what they market it as. other hepa filter cleaners are known to filter the germs and microorganisms anyway. i can guarantee that the suction is far superior to others and one year now, my friends are still pretty happy with it.
