Advantages: Fantastic suction power.

Disadvantages: Bit heavy to manoeuvre.

As the name suggests this is an Animal of a vacuum cleaner and it takes a bit of taming but, once conquered, it's a pussy cat. This is the first Dyson I have purchased and, as the owner of a perpetually molting dog, this was a much needed buy. It really is a powerful cleaner, it gets all the dogs hairs and all sorts of other debris out of the carpets, it's quite frightening looking into the plastic bin at what has been sucked up. It comes with useful brush attachments and a telescopic handle to get to the hard to reach places. My only gripe about the Dyson is that I find it a bit heavy and awkward to manoeuvre on occasions but, looking on the bright side, I suppose it's almost a free workout thrown in too. Now that I've had a Dyson, I don't think I would try any other brands as the suction can't be equalled.
