When my last vacuum cleaner lost it's suction, i decided enough was enough and i should go bagless. and it was the best decision i have made. This is one of the most basic Dyson's available yet it's suction is superb.

The worst thing about buying a Dyson is the first time you use it it sucks up all the dirt and grime which your previous cleaner has left behind. Truely horrific but at least you get to learn how to empty the cleaner quickly. Which i might add is extremely easy (even my husband can manage!).

The telescopic arm is so long i can clean to the top of the stairs which is good because it isn't the lightest vaccuum. I also find it handly to use the arm with the brush attachment to clean the picture rails in my house.

A word of warning though, if you have old/cheap carpets the powerful suction can suck them up too, leaving them threadbare.

I also recently brought the hard floor attachment (£20 direct from Dyson) which is very useful for cleaning laminate floors.

Summary: Reasonably priced, standard vacuum cleaner
