Just over a year ago my original Dyson broke after years or trouble free and excellent service. Without the slightest hesitation, I went out and bought myself a new Dyson DC15 All Floors, aka The Ball, and I haven't looked back since.

It cleans better than any vaccum cleaner I've ever used, and picks up a huge load of dirt even after cleaning with another top of the range vaccum cleaner. The Tools are easy to reach and simple to attach and use. When using the extensions, the wand and tube are long enough to do the top step between my ground floor and landing without having to lift the main body of the DC15 up.

Right beside the yellow on/off button, there is a red button which switches off the brush, turning the upright into a suction only cleaner. This is a great tool for moving seamlessly from floor to tassled rug without getting into a tangle.

Emptying the DC15 is a piece of cake. Push a button to detach the cylinder, hold it over the bin, and push another button to release the collected dust and dirt. Slam the bottom of the cylinder closed, place it in position on the cleaner and push and click it back in place.

The filter is washable and reusable, so there's no need to purchase replacements. It's simple to remove from the top of the cylinder, and you just rinse it under running water until it's clean, leave it to dry and then replace in the vaccum cleaner. Easy.

But the best feature of all has to be the ball, which means this vaccum cleaner goes around corners! What a great idea for making a household task that much easier.
