Advantages: Hoover Faster, Sleek
Disadvantages: Learning
The Dyson DC15 is a great vacuum cleaner, as it is the first and only vacuum cleaner to feature the very unique ball. The Dyson DC15 upright vacuum has a large yellow ball that will allow the vacuum to pivot and roll with the greatest of ease which believe me makes a ton of difference. You can simply turn your wrist and the vacuum cleaner will change its direction. The ability is something that is commonly associated with canister style vacuum cleaners. It also offers quite an interesting filtration system. The air and dirt are sucked into the container where the outer cyclone removes large particles such as food, hair, and even fibers which has proved alot better than previous versions of dyson.
The DC15 has a very strict filter system, which will prevent 99.9% of bacteria and mold from getting to your home. The vacuum will suck it up and keep it inside of the vacuum where it belongs. Although a few years ago dyson were not as popular as hoover they are now taking over the market with their impressive design and functional capabilities
The Dyson DC15 is also known for its suction power and attachments as well. With the ball assembly, using attachments are a breeze. The only problem you may have, like i did was getting used to it!, i admit i dont hoover much only when the parents are away but compared to the old dyson this is a big step up and requires a bit of learning, when i moved around with the old hoover it was simply up and down and try to fit it into those angles but with the new ball attachment it gives a whole new level of turning, i realised that twisting the hoover to the direction was a bit of a quick shock as to "o yes it does actually go there" and you end up trying to regain control and pulling it back but after a few goes you soon get the hang of it and cuts your hoovering time by about 10 minutes (depending on the size of your house obviously).
The hose itself seems to be improved with more suction and is easier to disconnect and re-connect basck onto the unit, for getting under furniture compared to older models is slightly easier due to the front end is thinner and enables you to get to those areas slightly easier.
All in all its a great hoover and going back to the old style ones would be annoying now you can pick up one of these for about £250 the last time i saw but prices might be lower now, it fits away nicely under the stairs and is quieter than previous models.

- 13/03/09 VG review here but would be handy to know if its noisy, if it falls over if the hose is used, if its easy or struggles to get under low furniture such as tables or chairs because of its ball. Adding info like that will inform buyers rather than just concentrating on its filtration and cyclone aspects.
I was initially impressed with the DC15 but the Sebo Felix was more compact despite the size of the Dyson and less noisier. |

- 13/03/09 my dyson has just packed up but it was a pain to use unravelling the hose etc think I will look into one of these though I like to be able to hoover up quick coz I just hate house work. |
