Advantages: works on all surfaces brilliantly

Disadvantages: the weight and carrying it upstairs

this is the second dyson I've bought and i'm even more impressed with this one than the first one. I've got a combination of wooden floors and carpets, and it performs well on all of them. The ball does make it very easy to use round corners etc although i don't notice it any more, but if i went back to a normal vacume i'm sure i'd miss it.
We paid £160 as we had the last model off the shelf.
We have owned it for 3 years and needed a new hose as the old one was clogged up with muck and beginging to smell, but as it had the 5 year guarantee it was sent to us free the next day. Customer service with Dyson it fantastic, friendly staff and sort out any issues with no fuss.
The only critism is the weight of the hoover and carrying it up and down stairs, in an ideal world i'd have one upstairs and one down stairs.
I'd buy another tomorrow :o)
