... not that pretty to look at, but I was more interested in its functionality. I use it for getting up bread crumbs after cutting fresh bread, quick hoovering of the car seats etc, the only down side i have found to it is that the charge doesn't really last long enough for me personally, to combat this I have a rubber brush that i sweep all the pet hairs up into one big pile and then get the hand held out. It is not noisy, it is easy to empty and clean. I am more than pleased with this product and would reccommend it....more

Premium Review Dyson DC16 Root 6: My secret weapon (580 words)

Well I've owned this product for 24 hours now and so far I'm quite impressed. I bought the DC16 animal instead of the standard one as we have dogs and the turbo brush tool will come in very handy. The normal model sells for around £100 and the animal version costs £130. Either way both models look like some sort of gun from a starwars film. Upon getting it out of the box it was pretty easy to assemble, just slide the battery into the main body and put it on charge. It takes 3 hours to fully charge and will run for 6 minutes. After the first charge I vacuumed all the dog hairs off the bed with it and then gave the stairs a quick clean. The turbo brush coped ...  Read the complete review

When my mum appeared with her latest gadget in tow wanting to hoover just about everything in sight, I was sceptical. Why on earth had she spent in excess of £100 for a smaller version of something that does the job required? I have to say, I was wrong. This neat, although slightly ugly... and well designed (in terms of use) piece of kit is small enough to not get in the way but has enough power to suck up just about everything you might need to, and definitely has the quality you'd expect from dyson. The colours, in my opinion, are hideous, the yellow and gray dyson combo has never done a great deal for me, and I would prefer something a bit more ...  Read the complete review

Fed up with getting out my bulk upright hoover for just a little split sugar, dusty corner, dirt, childrens beads well anything. All the unwinding of the cable disconecting the hose putting on the nossel. So i thought i would push the boat out and spend that little extre on this brilant yellow and grey gem..... well the Dyson DC16 arrived and after a short charge had its first test run with cornflakes that my son split. The suction was so strong that the cornflakes were gone in a matter of a couple secounds. i have since used it every where including to clear cob webs, cleaning out the car and even taken it away on holiday to get sand and grit cleared away easliy. The ...  Read the complete review

I've had this product for about a month at the time of writing and I am quite impressed by the build quality. Although this is sometime I expect from Dyson. The unit itself is not that heavy and is good for hard to reach places. It is not very noisy, in fact is definitely quieter than other stand up hoovers. I like the attachments that are provided, you have a long thin one, one with bristles, and another small tube one (haven't yet found out what this is useful for). They are the same as you would get with any other dyson but smaller to fit the unit. The design is very good and I like that you have to hold the trigger to make it work, which is well ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dyson DC16 Root 6: DYSON HAND HELD HOOVER (248 words)

I've had my hand held dyson for well over a year now, I was so excited when I it, and am very pleased that I did. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and this handheld is very good for a quick vaccuming of animal hairs, as I have laminated floors and tiles throughout my house, and the hairs from the animals tend to gather around the skirting boards very quickly even after vaccuming properly using a standard hoover. Throughout the day I can keep on top of the pet hair problems using the handheld dyson, it is excellent at getting hairs off your sofas, bed, etc. It is Lightweight, and I am not a very strong person in the physical sense, as I am what they call petite in nature and I ...  Read the complete review
