Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Emptying can be messy
My husband accuses me of loving this vacuum more than I love him. I do love him of course but unlike my Dyson DC16 he hasn't replaced and bettered my broom, dustpan, duster and main hoover and consolidated them all into one frankly life-enhancing appliance.
This Dyson is a "labour saving device" in the true sense of the phrase. I use it every day on the kitchen floor and in seconds it is spotless with no messing around or leftover bits. I use it regularly on the stairs (no cords or tubes to worry about) and all the floors and various surfaces in my flat. Of course its perfect for those little spills, with no need to lug a full size hoover out. If you have lower back pain this is indispensable.
For those with pets, this will keep your home up to scratch as it devours pet hair with ease.
The only downside is that it can be awkward to empty and tends to eject a cloud of dust into the air when emptied into the bin.
However all in all this product is highly recommend for anyone who -like me- likes having a clean home but does not like cleaning.

- 22/05/09 Good review. Surely if its a hand held you'd still have to bend down on the stairs to clean them so how is avoiding lower back pain?
Some more details would be good here such as:
Is it a heavy hand held cleaner?
How long does the running time last for?
How long does it take to charge?
Are there any smaller cleaning tools with it?
How much was it?
Adding info isn't compulsory but it would boost your review for buyers in the market. If you update your review please message me.
