I've had this vacuum for a while now and its a strong little thing! That is no doubt down to James Dyson and co and their technical wizadry!
I cant really fault this at all, except its a little weak on carpeted areas. It makes light work of tiled, wood and laminate flooring.
==Ease of use 9/10==
This little unit moves around well. It glides around the floor, and is small enough to perch on the stairs as you hoover your way up! The main handle slides up and down to control length, and the head moves quite freely around (so no wrestling back into position). To empty the hoover, its as simple as clicking the collection chamber off the unit and taking straight out to the bin! One down side is that the main unit is a little heavy.
Everything you'd want is packed onto this hoover. There's a plethora of attatchments that simply click onto the back of the unit. I've not come across anything that can not be hoovered with these added attatchments, even your car can get a good muck out!
All-in-all this is a very good little hoover indeed. Even after the arrival of a Dyson upright to our household this little machine still has a purpose.
I am in love with this little vacuum cleaner! After struggling with a useless Vax vacuum for a long time I was thrilled when we bought this hoover in the sales last year. As the previous vacuum lost any form of suction long before we upgraded, the carpets were in dire need of a good clean, and I am thrilled to report that this Dyson did not disappoint!
Although it is not necessarily light, I much prefer to drag this style of vacuum around behind me than push an upright, however this is just a personal preference. As the design is quite robust, this particular Dyson can become quite heavy, especially when full of lovely dust and other things! It is much easier for me to carry up and down the staircase so I would recommend this design to anyone. This product comes with a few extra accessories such as alternative brush heads however I rarely use these so I don't really have much to say about them other than that I'm glad they are available if I ever need them.
This hoover is bagless so there are no hidden costs in that respect. The cylinder does need emptying after cleaning 7 rooms (our whole house) so if you don't like emptying a dusty compartment regularly then maybe this Dyson isn't for you. I find it very easy to take apart and fit back together again and have not had to deal with the dreaded unintentional empty all over your newly cleaned carpet!
One negative aspect of the design is the extendable head. I find that the head can be adjusted to find a comfortable position for people of most heights (my very tall father has to crouch however and says that it hurts his back) but it is not long enough for the stairs. I end up having to place the hoover precariously on the landing and do have visions of it falling and knocking me out one day! It would be better if it could extend further and I could hoover all of the stairs safely from the bottom of the staircase instead.
Overall, for the price we paid, I am satisfied with the suction and after using it for 6 months it hasn't lost any of it. I would recommend it to anyone although if you're desperate for a light pull along vacuum you may be disappointed.
Previously, I had a VAX hoover which was quite good considering how long I had it for! But I decided that I needed a change so I bought a DYSON Multi - Floor Cylinder Vaccum.
I took it home and hoovered up some bits on the carpet and under the sofa and it was brilliant. I couldn't believe how good it picks up the dust and dirt from way deep down inside the carpet. When I'd finally completed the hoovering the carpet looked almost brand new, looked brighter and the colours seem to have shown more.
The DYSON reaches right into the little spaces that you cant see and removes all of the dirt from deep down in the carpet fibres!
This hoover is also great for getting around corners that are usually hard to get around like under the bed, sofa, wardrobe, draws and cooker.
You can buy the DYSON hoover range from lots of major supermarkets and electrical appliance stores! ARGOS may be a good place to purchase a DYSON hoover!
But I suppose there is a negative side to it! The only thing is, is that it probably will be very expensive no matter where you buy it from!
Otherwise, it's great for household and day-to-day cleaning and also for removing dirt from even the tightest of spaces!
I finally decided on a dyson vacuum cleaner because of their great reputation and innovation. I especially thought to buy this one because it is nice and compact and so great to fit into a cupboard nicely with room for other things. This product is designed for portability which it is good for as it is easy to manouvre around the house and up and down the stairs, unlike other larger dyson models. Yet, even though it is great for the whole house, after a while you do start to get tired as the dyson isnt what i would call the lightest vacuum cleaner in the world. Although lighter than its larger models, it is still rather heavy which is surprising looking at the size of it. Saying that, i do find it very easy to use in small spaces and getting around furniture. It allows probably around 3 uses before having to empty out the dirt which is rather good and means not having to constantly be fussing around with it to empty it all the time.
The vacuum cleaner looks very appealing with the yellow on the wheels. This is very different from the normal, boring vacuum cleaners and makes vacuming better when you feel you have a nice looking vacuum cleaner!
I would sugesst this dyson to anyone who has a smaller house as it is mostly suited for this because of its small size and is great for getting into those annoying places with the extendable handle. It really is a gret product and works a treat, picking up all dirt and doing a great cleaning job.
I was trying to buy one of the small hand held Dyson cleaners but couldn't find one. In desperation I bought this. I'm so pleased I did. It is quite heavy and it's a bit awkward to vacuum the stairs but other than that it's brilliant. All the tools attach neatly to the machine so you don't have to go searching for them. Aside from the standard head there is a wide crevice tool, a narrow crevice tool which has a brush which slides into place if you need it. It can be a little awkward to slide the brush out of the way but OK once you get the hang of it. It's very versatile, I'm not particularly tall but can easily use it to vacuum cobwebs from the ceiling. The standard cleaning head easily switching from hard floors to carpet mode. It has amazing suction and can cope with very heavy duty dirt. I recently moved into a new house and have been doing some serious renovations. My Dyson happily coped with plaster dust. It also has a surprising capacity and is easy to empty. It feels well made and well engineered. Worth every penny, I'm please I couldn't find the one I wanted. Though I may still buy the smaller one for the stairs.
