Advantages: Phenominal engineering and brilliance in use.
Disadvantages: It is expensive compared to similar products (but well worth it).
I have had the Dyson DC24 for a few months now and bought it for around £220 from John Lewis. I had an ordinary Dyson previously and have to say that I found all of the features to be exceptional but the build quality was absolutly rubbish. I still don't know why I felt the urge to go out and buy another Dyson with such a high price tag. I think it was the innovation that Dyson offers and I had seen many adverts displaying how the build quality had much improved. In John Lewis when enquiring about the product one of the first things that I asked was whether the build quality had been enhanced or not. That was my only real critisism of the Dyson previously and so if that issue had been solved I found no reason not to want this new Dyson DC24 Ball version.
Ultimately I have never felt that the Dyson lacked in quality and the Dyson DC24 Ball is no exception. From my experience it has delivered unpresidented performance, far better than any other hoover that I have tried. I thought that the previous models lacked performance in their manoeuvrability, this new Dyson DC24 Ball definately deliver's on that function. There is no doubt that for me the manoeuvrability has been apsolutely exceptional making it much easier to use in general. This ball meant that when vacuuming you are not forcd to hoover in just a a straight line as it were you really can twist and turn the vacuum in all directions. This is very useful if for example, you are in a lounge where there are often lots of obstructions that are in your way. I found it to require much less energy when cleaning and it to significantly improve the ease of hoovering in general.
Just like the other Dyson model's available this Dyson DC24 has Cyclone techology which is able to pick up large quantaties of dust etc. I was very impressed with this feature of a Dyson in my previous hoover and is one of the factors that made choose it over other cheaper hoover's available. The Dyson DC24 Ball even came with a 5 year warrenty that made me feel more relaxed about spending all of that money. Considering it is £217 now at John Lewis, I would recommend purchasing it from Amazon where it is £190 which is £27 cheaper! I have been very impressed with this hoover and am very glad that I did purchase it. The quality is unmatched and you will not find a more eeasy-to-use hoover. The Dyson DC24 looks very stlish and is great fun to use, I could not recommend it more. Don't be put off by the initial price tag because you are paying for the quality and the brilliance in engineering that has gone into this hoover. It is a wolrd apart from other similar hoover's and so should most certianly try it yourself and see what you think. Another feature that I really liked about the Dyson DC24 is its size. It is really small compared with previous versions and other hoover's making it much easier to store after use which really is useful.
When you buy a Dyson you are buying the Rolls Royce of Cars, it is designed and engineered to perfection and will serve you well. I would highly recommend this product and think that is a significant improvement over other hoover's. Well worth trying out and seeing it for yourself, a mastery in engineering. I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading.
Summary: This is an umbelivable hoover that really is worth getting!

A really good opinion here but for buyers in the market your review could do with a lot more info concerning this model. In particular:
Us e of the hose - does it reach up stairs without topping the vacuum over?
How long does the dust bin last before it needs emptying? Does this model have a big bin or small bin?
Any smaller cleaning tools?
Noise levels
Actual weight
Filtration factors - anything washable? HEPA/S Class?
Can this Ball model get under low furniture in normal upright mode without having to resort to taking out the hose/handle?
Is there a brush on/off mode?
A spell check in your review would be good as there are some sections which are confusing to read.
Also bear in mind, its not a Hoover, but a vacuum cleaner or a Dyson.
Updatin g your review could benefit buyers more but it isn't compulsory. If you update your review please message me.

PS Unlike previous Dyson models the DC24 has Root Cyclones as opposed to Dual Cyclone which the original models had. |
