I never knew what all the fuss was about a Dyson, I'm rarely swayed by designer products (despite actually being a designer myself) and never dreamt of "wasting" so much cash on a cleaning appliance. How wrong I was. We were lucky enough to receive this as a gift last Christmas and now 8 months on - I wouldn't be without it. I Love it! It's changed the way I vacumn, I realised that the endless pushing forward and back over the same spot is not needed! It really NEVER loses suction, so actually takes a fraction of the time to clean up. The only downside is - it's so effective at cleaning I felt ashamed when I saw how much dirt was in the cylinder the first few times!!! The DC24 is very lightweight, so cleaning the stairs is a breeze. I do find that the button to change the function from hard floors to carpet sticks somewhat and is slightly annoying. I've read reviews where people complain about the lack of tools - but I find them sufficient and extra can be bought. The filters need to be cleaned once a month under running water, rendering the Dyson redundant for 24 hours, while they dry out. Overall, the Dyson DC24 is brilliant, I will definitely buy another. Highly recommended.
