Advantages: cleans well on all surfaces, looks great

Disadvantages: very expensive, steering ball heavy on wrist

i traded in my old Dyson for this new DC25 model - i really like the ball idea and it does make steering much easier, however use it for a sustained period of time and you may well find that that the not insubstantial weight of the product really starts to hurt the wrist, particularly on the larger models. Performance is excellent on all surfaces as you would expect from a Dyson but the £240 price tag is extremely high and if it did not produce the best results for that amount of money i would be extremely disappointed. It is engineered very well, a little bit on the noisy side perhaps and the bin is a bit fiddly to remove. It is a really good vacuum but given the expenditure the little annoying faults are just that little bit more obvious i think than if it would have been half the price.

Summary: ball design makes the dc25 very desirable

A good opinion here but for the benefit of buyers could do with more in depth usage info such as:

Noisy?
Filtration
Long power cord?
Easy to get under low furniture?
Does the ball actually get around corners really well?
Use of the hose - easy, long?
Use of smaller attachments?

A dding info to your review isn't compulsory. If you update your review please message me.

PS Im slightly confused about the weight issue; compared to most the DC25 is a lighter model to most of the other models in the Dyson family and in light of the DC25 you write that its hard on the wrist but then mention "particularly on the larger models." If you need help on this please also message me.
