Advantages: Sucks up all the hair and moves freely and with ease, Lighter than other versions of the Dyson.

Disadvantages: Can be hard to get use to the ball movement.

This machine is AMAZING !!
The suction power is fantastic , the movement of the hoover now that it has the ball is incredible and it is a lot lighter than previous Dyson models.
I have two cats and one very hairy beagle , so this was the first hoover I was directed to. After having a dyson for a few years before this one , I knew I would not be disappointed. The ball makes it so much more maneuverable and it has a smaller , slimer front so it can fit under furniture a lot better than other models. The bristles at the front are covered with a clear plastic so you can see them spinning round and picking up hair and dust.
The problem that I had with it is that the hose is not as long as my previous Dyson and neither is the electrical cord is not as long either.
Again you have to make sure the filters get cleaned or it will not do that good a job. It does take a while to get use to the movement of the ball but afterwards it moves brilliantly and it is lighter.

Summary: Great nifty little hoover , you'll never go back to ordinary ones.
