After using this for a good-while now I feel best-placed to give a premium review, and I must say that I'm thrilled with this purchase. This purchase is a must, and without owning a Dyson you're doing yourself a disservice, especially considering you don't need to outlay for cleaning bags, possible replacements (like we have had to in the past) and its performance is fantastic.

The suction on this machine is fantastic, and it gives the best and deepest clean I've seen, whereas with other machines you get a surface clean. The suction is still performing as-new until this very day, which is something we've not had in our old machines, such as henry (bless his heart ;)), this is especially notable owing to the amount it gets used - due to OCD - because other machines would have started to pack up. Again, this shouldn't be a worry especially with the free five year guarantee!

The capacity of the machine is great, and doesn't often need clearing, which is notable considering how well the suction performs, and even if it did need clearing often it's not as if you have to outlay on cleaning bags, which means it's an economical purchase. The cleaning is very simple too, all you have to do is simply remove the bin - which is usefully clear, so you can see exactly when it's reaching capacity and therefore when you need to clean it - and hover over a bin and simply press a button!

The build quality is fantastic and is as new even though it's been knocked around and been dragged up and down the stairs, perhaps this is owing to the fact that some parts use the same material as is used for riot shields - or so I was told by the sales assistant. The machine is light, or at least for me, at 8KGs (without the bin being full) and it's effortless to use not requiring a great deal of energy. The cord length isn't lacking either, at just over 9 meters, meaning I don't have to mess around unplugging/plugging in the vacuum when I go from bedroom to bedroom, however, this could be due to my smallish house.

The tools it comes with are easily adaptable - therefore meaning that the user-experience is joyful. The wand it comes with is a great length and makes cleaning the ceiling/skirtings/etc very easy, which again makes the user experience that more enjoyable! The attachment for the stairs is a great help, and makes cleaning the carpet on the stairs that much more effortless, which is very useful when OCD has me doing it a couple of times a day!

I'll conclude by saying this is the greatest vacuum I've used and will recommend it to anyone due to its long lasting - durable - nature, and its ease of use. Oh and it's not a wonder why this vacuum was rated the Which best-buy of April 2011.
