Dyson DC24 The Ball ... never knew what all the fuss was about a Dyson, I m rarely swayed by designer products (despite actually being a designer myself) and never dreamt of "wasting" so much cash on a cleaning appliance. How wrong I was. We were lucky enough to receive this as a gift last Christmas and now 8 months on - I wouldn t be without it. I Love it! It s changed the way I vacumn, I realised that the endless pushing forward and back over the same spot is not needed! It really NEVER loses suction, so actually takes a fraction of the time to clean up. Dyson DC03 ... ve had my DC03 for a few years now and it has proved reliable even through ingesting brick dust from some building work. You get what you pay for with Dysons - they are a bit more expensive than many vacuum cleaners, but you get good performance. One disadvantage of the Dyson mechanism is that it really is very noisy, and the noise is an unpleasant high-pitched whine as well as the usual racket from the motor that you get with any vacuum cleaner. The see-through dust holder is a great idea as you can see how full it is, though the capacity isn t huge. The one thing this machine doesn t handle well, though few uprights do, is long hair. Dyson DC24 The Ball ... is brilliant. I got this as a gift and wish I d bought one myself years ago. I hate the noise conventional vacuum cleaners make and this emits a quiet, low hum. It picks up everything! You only need to run over the carpet once and all the dust is gone. It will save you so much time. It s also really light - it glides around the room in a really rather elegant manner. Changing it is so easy, and it hasn t required any maintenance at all. It doesn t clog up and it has a pleasing handle that the wire can wrap around neatly, keeping it out of the way. In terms of looks, it s very stylish. The silver and yellow look great.
