Advantages: Manoeuvrable, Light Weight, Powerful, Inexpensive.
Disadvantages: It has an unfashionable brand name (but so what)
Hello fellow vacuumers. I bought this vacuum cleaner in a Co-op department store for £50 six years ago and am still happily using it today. A couple of years after buying it I saw it for £30 in the same store in a different colour, silver.
It was a bargain even at £50 because it's light weight at 12 lbs or 5.5 kgs, it's bagless, it has a washable hepa filter, on board tools including hand held attachment and upholstery brush, separate extension tube for hand held longer reach, and two suction settings (carpets and floors).
The cleaning head at the bottom (yellow coloured in the picture) hinges down totally flat allowing vacuuming under beds and tables etc. It is 800 watts power but packs a real punch. The emptyable detachable dust and dirt canister is not that large but clips in and out in a couple of seconds so emptying it is simple.
The vacuuming head size is 11 inches across which makes it very manoeuvrable in tight spaces. There is a conveniently placed carrying handle. The cable wraps "old school" style around the back of the unit.
This is the best vacuum cleaner I've owned and makes vacuuming easy and nearly enjoyable.
If you can get hold of one of these at £70 or less you will be very pleased either as a main vacuum cleaner or as a secondary one.
It makes much more expensive and heavier in weight vacuum cleaners look ridiculous.
Summary: This is a superb product that is little known of.

- 07/03/09 You are correct, it can struggle with large pieces of debris such as pet fur and it is slightly noisier than the average vacuum cleaner, but they are generaaly all noisy. |

- 07/03/09 Welcome to Dooyoo. This model is one of the first I bought from the Lux range but mine had endless problems with clogged pet hair. It is however a great vac if you don't expect too much of it and sadly Electrolux UK doesn't make them anymore as its great for students or people with very small flats or homes. Good review here but dont forget to add in if its noisy.
Electrolux aren't an unfashionable brand name though; they make tons of vacuums and are well known internationally.
