Advantages: amount of dirt picked up, cost

Disadvantages: continuous emptying, can get blocked easily

i got my electrolux as a replacement for my hoover bagless vacuum that expired after only three months of work, to be honest i preferred my hoover to the electrolux for two reasons, 1; thethe dirt trap in the hoover was enormous compared to the electrolux, the hoover would do the whole of the downstairs of my house (which i live in with a wife daughter and two pooches) without having to empty it, the electrolux needs to be emptied after every room!

2; it was a lot easier to empty, a twist of a slider at the back and pull out a container ,looking alot like a filter coffee jug, and the opposite for reloading. but the electrolux took more concerntration than that, pull up a lever pull out the container then reload by placing two tiny blades on the bottom of the container into two holes that you can't see from above and then push into place and snap down the lid. sounds easy but it takes getting used to.

although saying that the electrolux was thirty pounds cheaper (i was given a cafetierre as part of the refund) and picked up just as well as the hoover if not better.

i think that one of the reasons for having to empty it so often is the fact it picks up so much debris from the floor. it does pick up pet hair exceptionally well, if you have dogs or long haired cats you can sometimes find that there is hair lef on the carpet after hoovering, not with this electrolux, everything is picked up and with the range of tools on the reverse of the vacuum you'll get all the dirt from th eedges aswell.

this vacuum is well worth the cash paid.

SOunds like a good vac - wouldn't like to empty it all the time though.

I have a dyson (2 in fact), and I think they're nothing short of brilliant.

Hiya and welcome to dooyoo ;)

A good first op - just needs a bit more detail. Try and read around the site as much as you can to get a feel for the standard people expect.

Hope you have fun here ;)

Sounds like it was a bargain buy - I'd be interested to know how much it cost?
