Advantages: Fantasticly clean carpets

I used to always plump for Hoover hoovers - if you know what I mean! - but when my last vacuum cleaner packed up, I decided to go for a different make, just for a change. After all, they say a change is as good as a rest.

What attracted me was the reputation of Electrolux, but most of all the filtration system. There's so much publicity about what causes asthma, eczema and other allergies, that a vacuum cleaner that was able to go at least part way to eliminating some of the pollutants had to be a good idea.

It hasn't let me down. It cleans superbly and the filters collect all the bits and pieces that don't go through to the bag. It has variable power which I found very handy, especially on carpets that need that bit more suction - I have a large dog whose hairs seem to get everywhere!

The only problem I would say is the price of the replacement bags. Costing £7.50 for 4 this is quite an expense. With my last vacuum cleaner, if I ran out of bags, I sometimes had to - yeuch - empty some of the old one and re-use it. You are advised not to do this with this cleaner, so I don't.

Apart from this one minor issue, the cleaner itself cleans like a dream.
