I originally bought the Electrolux Cyclonic cleaner as a second vacuum for the upstairs of my house to save me dragging my heavy hoover up and down stairs and as a spare on when I ran out of bags for my older vac.
It quickly took the place of my older Hoover, as it was lighter, easier to manoeuvre, easier to store and picked up much better.
It's powerful for the size (1800 watts) and seems to pick up bits my old hoover missed. I love the fact that being bagless, if something goes up the hoover that shouldn't, I can always recover it when I empty it.
On the downside, it seems to need emptying every time I've used it, but it is easy to empty and the filter is washable. It came with a spare filter too, which is useful while waiting for the first one to dry out.
The lead is short, and doesn't reach as far as my old Hoover; I can just manage to do one medium sized room and half a hallway before having to move plugs-or use an extension lead.
It has a fast and efficient re-wind of the lead though, which is great and never seems to fail me or stick on route.
Its not too bad weight wise (around 13 lbs) and I can handle it on the stairs. It also sits nicely on a stair while hovering further up, without having it balancing on the edge and risking it crashing down.
A good all round cleaner which works well between carpets and hard floors and picks up well.
Even though I've been using this for over a year now, it's never lost its suction as so many of my old vacs have done.
I bought this cleaner as my Vax had become too heavy as I had started to suffer with Sciatica in my back. This model is so light I can run up the stairs with it!
I compared this model to the Dyson and it turned out this has 1800w of power with the Dyson having less.
The other positive was the price, well under £100.
I have'nt been disappointed, I had only hoovered my carpets with the Vax that morning and could'nt wait to try my new baby when I got home. I could'nt believe the dirt that came up!!!
It is easily emptied by simply pushing a button, the waste container came away and I was able to rinse the filter under the tap to clean. Once dry putting it back together was a doddle too!
It is a lot smaller than my Vax so it has given me extra space in my downstairs cupboard.
There only a couple downsides to this machine and they are that it does not come with any attachments, luckily my Vax attachments fitted. Also the lead is quite short so I have to use the extension to do a whole floor in my house. Guess I'm just lazy!
So if you already have attachments and plenty of plug sockets in your house then I would throughly recommend this and with its low price its a true bargain that wont disappoint.
I bought this vacuum cleaner about five months ago. I bought it because I liked the appearance of it. It is silver, clear smoky plastic and light metallic blue.
It has a slide on the back which lets you choose the suction strengths and as it is quite powerful I normally have it on quite low. It comes with a filter in it plus there is an extra one. The cylinder has quite a large capacity which means you will not be constantly emptying it which is a ggod idea as my last one I was always doing this.
The cord is quite long so you have a good reach when using it and I can normally go right up my stairs before having to plug it in to do the upstairs.
On the downside it is quite noisy. Also the tubes, which are made of metal sometimes slip out of the the plastic arm at the top and the cleaning head at the bottom which is annoying sometimes having to put it all back together again. Also it can be quite unstable and flips over when you are hoovering and pulling it behind you.
Other than those few negatives this is a very decent vacuum cleaner and for the cost i think it is real value for the money as it costs £55 ish depending on where you buy it from. I would go out and get another one of these if this one breaks and I highly recommend it to anyone.
