This Mondo vacuum by Electrolux appears to have been a hit and miss product amongst reviewers on Dooyoo, but I’ve owned and used my Aunt’s model since 1992 when she bought it brand new from Comet for £49-99. This model in particular still exists but with an auto cord rewind function in the U.S under the brand name “Eureka,” as well as Electrolux’s commercial brand. It is however no longer on sale on the high street unless private electrical shops sell these basic machines reconditioned. The 'onboard cable stowage' on the box sounds tidy but when I opened it I realised it should have been more accurate and stated 'stuff the hand coiled tangled cable into a tapering recessed compartment, so when you stand it up it spills the cable out again" - poor design. The swivel hose connector that is supposed to rotate (cheaky enough to state "360 degree rotation" proudly around neck) as you pull the body around soon jams and the body is nearly always on its side blowing out dust if you attempt to gently drag it about the house. I have this vaccum cleaner - it was given to me in December 1998 as a present. I have mixed feelings about it - it has some good points and some bad, but I know I wouldn't buy one if I need a new vacuum cleaner. So, it is 2 and a half years old and it is still running. It is neat, compact, colourful and easy to manoeuvre. It is perfectly adequate for those of us who have small houses. The "tuck away cord" function is nice - no more tripping over wires. The nozzle clips nicely onto the back of the cleaner so it is easy to carry around and store. Bag changes are a doddle. Sounds good so far, yes? My problem with it is the nozzle ...
