I have always had Dyson hoovers ever since they came out but when my last Dyson broke (through me dropping it down the stairs!) and I needed a replacement I realised that I was no longer in the position to spend £200 on a hoover or indeed really wanted to.

I have a 10 month old puppy and a 4 year old so I hoover every day and knew that I wanted a hoover aimed for pet owners as there is nothing worse than dog hair getting on your clothes.

I saw this Electrolux hoover in Argos and it was £60 to be honest being the girly I am I thought it was quite pleasing to the eye, I mean who wants an ugly hoover!

I decided to use the model details and hit the internet and see if I could find it any cheaper or with any cashback. After a few minutes I found the exact same model on Ebay from a powerseller. It was £25 including postage but it was a Grade A return. They advised that this meant it was either in a damaged box or had no instructions. The seller had great feedback and at that price I decided it was too good an offer to miss so I duly bought and paid for the hoover.

It arrived at my house the very next day via Parcel Force. It was in a slightly battered box which had been taped up and on taking the hoover out of the box the only thing I could find missing was the instructions.

The hoover was very easy to put together and you didn't really need the instructions as it was obvious where the pieces went.

The hoover as apparent in the photo above is an upright. It is bagless and comes with an edging tool, a soft furnishing brush and a rotating turbo attachment for those areas which need a little more attention.

The first thing I noticed about the hoover was how light it was. It weighs 13.89lbs and felt much lighter than my previous Dysons. To start with this worried me as it felt a little flimsy and as I have a tendency of being clumsy I had visions I would soon break the hoover. Although the lightness is also a plus point as it makes it much easier to carry up the stairs.

The hoover has 1750 watts of power and and a 0.66 gallon tank capacity.

I have been using this hoover now for around 4 months and it is definately up to the job in my house. I have cream carpets throughout my house and I am very fussy about keeping them looking clean. This hoover has not failed me yet and always brings up my carpets looking clean and fresh even after my puppy has decided to bring in half a tree from the garden.

Using the tools is simple. You unclip the hose pop the relevant tool on and away you go. Although it appears very flimsy the hoover doesn't fall over when using tools like I have found with some other models.

It has five different height settings so it can be easily adapted to use through all the rooms in your house. You simply select the height by twisting a knob at the front of the machine. These heights range from long pile through to hard floors.

The hoover is ever so easy to keep clean. The main compartment pops off by pressing a button and it emptys to the bottom again by simply pressing a button. This means you can just hold it over your bin and release the dust so no need for shaking. The filters can all be washed.

I would recommend this hoover. Considering how often I hoover I always get a fair amount in the dust compartment so its obviously doing a good job and at £25 it was a bargain.
