Because of the clear cylinder you can actually see that you are picking up loads from your carpet that you didn't even realise was there. The cylinder is very easy to take off and empty. I researched vacuum cleaners as I wanted an upright that was powerful to replace the old cylinder vacuum cleaner that I had. I saw this one for a bargain price and as it had a high wattage and many attachments, I thought I would go for it. I have to say that I am not disappointed. It vacuums my carpets to a great standard and having a 1 year old means there is always plenty of mess around. It is powerful and you really feel that you are actually picking up all the dirt.
