Advantages: Cleans well, reaches to top of the stairs and has many attachments.

Disadvantages: A bit on the heavy side.

I researched vacuum cleaners as I wanted an upright that was powerful to replace the old cylinder vacuum cleaner that I had. I saw this one for a bargain price and as it had a high wattage and many attachments, I thought I would go for it. I have to say that I am not disappointed. It vacuums my carpets to a great standard and having a 1 year old means there is always plenty of mess around. It is powerful and you really feel that you are actually picking up all the dirt. Because of the clear cylinder you can actually see that you are picking up loads from your carpet that you didn't even realise was there. The cylinder is very easy to take off and empty. It reaches to the top of the stairs without having to carry it which is a good thing as it is quite heavy but I think this makes it more sturdy and it doesn't feel like it will break in 5 minutes. It has a very long cord so you can reach far without having to constantly unplug it. All the attchments store neatly on the cleaner and it is very attractive to look at. I did get it for a bargain which was no where near the RRP but I would be prepared to pay more for it as it is such a good vacuum cleaner and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Summary: A great upright vacuum cleaner that doesn't cost the earth like some other well known brands.
