I bought this to replace a worn out Dyson. I have 3 dogs so my home gets quite messy! When I first tried vacuum it felt very powerful and I was pleased it was going to be so effective. However, it's power means that it sucks so hard to your floors that you can barely push it around! It feels very heavy, even after adjusting the head to the appropriate setting for the type of floor it is. Furthermore, it is quite noisy, much noisier than my old Dyson, and actually frightens the pets! The filter is easy to insert and remove but for some reason the vacuum blows air back through the filter and a lot of dust and white powder residue (particles of the filter) are blown ... If you want to spend £90 on a vacuum cleaner that doesn't work - this is the one for you. I recently purchased this vacuum and it is without doubt the worst purchase I have ever made. Yes, it looks lovely but it simply does not work. Anything other than dust or fluff is thrown out of the back of the vacuum all over the room as the vacuum refuses to pick it up. It leaves a dusty residue all over my hard floors and the filter needs cleaning every other time it is used. Electrolux customer services are appalling. Good suction from this cleaner. Easy to use, easy to push around. Not too noisy either. Bin could do with being abit bigger, but no real hassle to empty it, easy peasy really. The hose, fully stretched, only reaches up to the 9th stair. Oh, and its quite heavy for the little woman to lug up the stairs. HOWEVER, this machine has, for me anyway, 1 monumentally huge drawback for which I could never recommend it. The filter. You see, for the past 3 years I had been spoilt by Dyson whereby I only had to clean the filter once every 6 months. I tend to vacuum 2-3 times per week on average.
