I bought this for £16 plus £11 postage from the Ebay shop Direct Vacuums, and I think it is one of the best bargains I have ever had! It was an auction, so I think I got particularly lucky though.

Unlike other reviewers, mine came almost assembled - I just had to put on the top handle part. It was a "graded" product, so had some light cosmetic damage, but at that price who cares???

It works a treat on carpets, hoovers up all manner of rubbish and bits of stuff which end up on the floor. And as it says, it is very good for pet hair - even hair which has been pushed down into the carpet is hoovered up, so I'm delighted with it.

It's not so great on hard floors, but I have such a small area of hard floor that I just brush it, so I don't feel I'm missing out from this function - I've never used a hoover on hard floors before.

I have noticed that the tube for the attachments tends to pop out of its holder occasionally, which blows dust around, but that doesn't bother me too much.

The hoover is easy to use, it glides around easily with not too much effort, and I don't find it too heavy. The stair brush is good, although I don't have stairs it is useful for getting into corners. The only gripe is that the on/off switch is operated by foot and is stuck under the cable tidy/attachment hose so isn't as easy to get at as it could be.

All in all, I'm over the moon with this purchase, particularly given the bargain I got. I would recommend this to pet lovers, especially those with carpets, but before you pay high street price, try Ebay.
