Ok, ill fess up. I only really bought this vacuum because i couldnt afford a Dyson at the time. I wanted a bagless, cyllinder vacuum and this was on offer at a reasonable price and being from a well known brand like Electrolux i thought it would probably be ok. Didnt have any greater expectations of if than that but i've been pleasantly surprised at how well it has performed. The suction is good, although you do have to reguarly clean out the filter to keep it that way. Its reasonably lightweight and easy to move around and it works well over a variety of different surfaces. We have 2 dogs who shed like mad and it can struggle at times to pick up the hairs that have tangled themselves into the fibres of rugs and furniture but it does deal with the vast majority of it. Construction is durable - i have dropped the thing down the stairs more than once - and its continued to work well despite very heavy usage. I've only needed to replace the filter once in nearly 2 years too so running costs have been minimal. My only real criticism is that the dust chamber does fill up relatively quickly. Overall its a fine vacuum for the vast majority of household needs. If you have more than one dog like me its probably not the best choice but still copes admirably well so for the money you cant complain.
