Advantages: compact , good suction

Disadvantages: evil plug weaponry

There? s a little yellow goblin and he lives in my airing cupboard. He is very quiet when he is left in the cupboard but when you let him out and plug him in, he gets very noisy and angry. He moves around on three wheels but he always seems to flip over and turn himself off.

The Goblin is bargain vacuum cleaner, which does its job well enough. It is a pull-along type of cleaner with a tube and a couple of different heads for crooks and crannies. The main head has a brush button so it can lift up dirt and dust easier on certain surfaces.

The suction of the cleaner is superb ? it really munches on your carpet or rug, removing all of the unwanted dirt with ease. Sometimes this powerful suction is a little to much and causes a lot of friction when trying to move the head around the carpet, this can be controlled to some extent by a slider switch on the tube that can be opened so that the power of suck can be reduced a little.

Moving the Goblin around with you as you vacuum normally results in the Goblin flipping over so you end up dragging it across your floor, this sometimes leads to the Goblin turning itself off a the huge on button gets knocked. The on button is next to an equally huge button that automatically draws in the plug and wraps it up inside the back of the vacuum. Handy you make think, however, this device is extremely dangerous if you do not take up the slack from the cable as its recoiled. The button draws in the cable extremely quickly, if you or anything else is in the way of the plug, injury or damage is likely to occur. The first time I recoiled the cable it shot like a bullet into the back of the Goblin causing the plug to hit the back of the vacuum so hard, the plug got smashed into several pieces, so I had to put a new plug on the vacuum.

Changing the bag is easy and mess-free, although the bags are smaller. Just flip up the front of the Goblin and unclip the bag and replace with a new one.

I got m
y Goblin from Argos for £39.99, cant argue with the price.

Other than the nasty plug-type weaponry, the Goblin is more than adequate as a vacuum and ideal if you live in a flat or a small house.
