Vax Kone K-001 ... had been looking for a handheld vacuum for some time, but wanted one that would look good in my home. I came across the Vax Kone which looks fantastic - it really complements my minimalist style & looks great stood in my hallway. I thought that if I bought a handheld vac that could be left on display, then I would be more likely to use it! But, alas no, it still doesn t get used much....unfortunately the power is very low. The vacuum lasts for all of 30 seconds before dying (& this is fully charged!). I find it difficult to pick up larger crumbs etc - it just doesn t have the oomph to do so. Black & Decker NW3660 ... so I have never been one for being house proud, with 2 dogs and varying number of cats all producing a rather large amount of hairs it has always been impossible to have an immaculate house. Then 3 years ago when I packed up work to have my daughter Holly I seemed to have a much cleaner and tidier home. This was of course until Holly found her feet and found she could feed herself then things once again went awry. Then In January Holly started doing 3 days a week at pre-school, wow, 5 hours time for 3 days a week on my own to get on with keeping the house clean and doing those little jobs that need doing. Dyson DC16 ... husband accuses me of loving this vacuum more than I love him. I do love him of course but unlike my Dyson DC16 he hasn t replaced and bettered my broom, dustpan, duster and main hoover and consolidated them all into one frankly life-enhancing appliance. This Dyson is a "labour saving device" in the true sense of the phrase. I use it every day on the kitchen floor and in seconds it is spotless with no messing around or leftover bits. I use it regularly on the stairs (no cords or tubes to worry about) and all the floors and various surfaces in my flat.
