Advantages: Really Powerful ! Always Smiling, Industrial quality

Disadvantages: None

Hello and welcome to this review.
We needed a Vacuum badly:) Said mother! Apparently our old one was no good at getting up the hairs from two dogs..... Maybe if we emptied the bag it may have had a chance! But we had already decided on a Henry.. Well my brother did:)

I must admit, I also Liked the look of this unit. Very Smiley and happy to do the job! Off to comet we went.
Luckily it was on sale to my suprise. I paid £89 BARGAIN! I also took out the two year warranty costing £10.99 which I really regret now as I know we will not be needing it with this absolutely amazing machine.

I never thought that a hoover with a smile on it could be such good quality. The box was very heavy which told me instantly that the quality was going to be good. I must say that the box was very nice looking in itself. Black with little different colour henry vacuums shown all over it.
When we opened the box we found.

Smiling Henry
A super long hose
Two Tubes
A floor Tool
A Stair brush
Crevice Tool
10 Free bags!!! How kind of them:)
And the usual instructions.
Wow!! 10 Free bags... They are 9 lItres in size so we will never have tro buy a bag again..... Well for a long time anyway.

Now the weight of the box really was due to the true quality of this machine. It is very strong. The hose is crush resistant and the floor poles are stainless steel. Even the bottom of the floor nozel is stainless steel making it extremely long lasting.

Considering the box was so heavy the actual machine is rather light and easy to move about. The pipes leading to the floor nozel are quite heavy but easy to use.

The vacuum was extremely east to put together. A bag was already placed in the vacuum making that 11 Free bags to my suprise! We only had to pop the hose on and the attachments and off we went.
On the back of henry on the top there are two switches. One on and off and High and Low. We flicked the switch to low and then to on. A quiet whisper came from the machine... Gosh is that on I thought?? It was so quiet. I felt the end of the hose and my gosh this thing was definately on!! Nearly sucked my hand off and it was only on low. I flicked the button to high and it made a bit of a louder whisper and the hose was screaming as there was so much suction coming out. We put the floor brush on the floor and the power could really be felt and seen! it was quite hard to push at first but we are all used to it now.

Ever hair had gone from our doggy carpets and henry happily cleaned the laminate with a flick of a button on the floor brush. The hose is extremely long at around three metres so cleaning stairs was a breeze.
The power on this unit is honestly amazing! If your not careful it will suck you in.... Okay maybe a bit of exageration but it really is more powerful than any other vacuum we have owned!

Even after vacuuming our whole house henrys suction was still 100%. We even cleaned the patio, our car, summer house and everything basically on the first day! It really did do a fantastic job.
After experiencing the true power of the Henry I got researching on the cost of dust bags as after all..... I did not think the 10 would be lasting very well with the amount it picked up.

But! To my suprise a pack of 10 bags are only £4.99! Bargain.
Overall this is a really fantastic machine. One of the best available if you ask me!

The bags are extremely easy to empty but it can be a bit messy. The top of henry (his hat) is pulled of by un fastening the two clips on the side and inside is a filter. The filter is removed by pulling up and inside the compartment is henry's bag. The bag is unfastened by pulling off the suction inlet and by pulling the bag up. Unfortunately we found the bag had holes in many places after cleaning. Some dirt spilled but it was easy to clean up again by inserting a new bag. The filter must also be cleaned because it can get clogged with dust.

The filtration on this vacuum is not too good to be honest, I do not believe it is suitable for allergies after looking through the air vents on the back, some dirt is settling inside but this is where the clean air is supposed to be coming out. But there is also a Henry Micro which is designed for allergy sufferers.

The tools included with this vacuum are all easy to use. All poles and nozels slot into place with ease and are all very effective.

I would definately say this vacuum was worth the money. They are used in hotels and other commercial uses beccause of their quality.
I hope this has been of help. Definately consider buying one of these!
Nick

Henry machines are great. However for the benefit of future buyers some more would be good here such as:

General quality - worth the price in your experience?
Weight - you say it was a heavy box so does this translate into a heavy vacuum too?
Changing the bags - easy to do?
Are the pipes easy to take on or off?
Filtration qualities
