Advantages: Excellent suction and well balanced.
Disadvantages: Brush cover can be stiff.
We bought the Home-Tek (also known as Hunter) from the lakeland website about 6 months ago.
We decided to get a handheld due a split hose on our dyson.
I must say that this is a fantastic little vaccum cleaner.
We mostly use it for cleaning the stairs and it picks up, even treaded in, dirt easier than our dyson did (and it gets everything out).
The pile is really brought out and the cable is more than long enough to cope with a flight of stairs. Considering we use it on "heavy traffic" areas it does an excellent job.
It has an extendable hose that you can attach the, supplied, crevice tool, brush etc to. I did find that the cover for the brush heads (that flips forward when the hose is in use) was a bit stiff the first time I adjusted it, but not had an issue with it since.
We are really glad we went for this handheld and the price (around £30) is very reasonable.
Summary: Highly recommended
