“ Brand: Hoover / Upright / Cyclonic / 1800 Watt / HEPA / 19.68 ft.Cord „
Back in the summer my vacuum died so we went searching for a new one , I decided on a Hoover because I remember years ago my mum and gran having a Hoover so I thought they would still be a good make.
* 1800 Watt Max Motor Power
* 210 Air Watts of Suction Power
* Washable HEPA Filters
* 4 height brush adjuster
* Baglass dust container 2.5L
* Onboard tools
* Weighs 6.9kg
The vacuum is red in colour with the front panel being in orange , at the front you will find the on/off switch , to tilt it back there is a black foot pedal which is a bit fiddly but eventually it will release and tilt .
To empty the dust container you press the black button on the front of the machine and remove the panel , you then lift out the dust container , open the lid to empty.
The vacuum is quite light on the stairs compared to other vacuums that I have used in the past , it has a long hose so I can leave the vacuum down the bottom of the stairs and go up to nearly the top .
There are 4 brush heights it didn`t take me long to figure out which height I needed for the living room carpet.
There is a long cord which is very handy if you want to clean a large area but the lead can get in the way.
At the back of the machine you will find the on board tools , I find the pet tool quite handy on the stairs as it does pick up a lot of the cat hair.
The HEPA filters are washable , just wash them out and leave to dry before using them again.
~What do I think? ~
Now I have to say I do get very annoyed with this vacuum and after christmas I plan on buying a new one.
Why do I get annoyed?
The hose is quite long and although it is meant to clip into place at the back it comes undone and quite often gets in the way.
The dust / pet hair will often get clogged up at the top filter before it is supposed to go into the dust container , it is such a dusty job having to clean it out , also if it does get jammed up with dust this leads to a loss of suction and this then can cause the vacuum to overheat. When the vacuum overheats it will turn off and you cannot use it for 20 minutes.
When you empty the container dust goes everywhere plus the mess of having to clean all the dust off the filters.
This hoover seems a lot nosier than my old vacuum cleaners and so I cannot use this after my son has gone to bed as he wakes up with the noise.
The dust container gets full quite quickly so you will need to empty after every room.
Next time I decide to buy a vacuum it will not be a Hoover , I will have a good look at some reviews and take my time in choosing one.
